Meet Our Team:
STEPHEN E. MAHONEY, M.D
VALORIE COULTER, MSN FNP
Valorie Coulter, NP-C has been with West Houston Dermatology since 2011. Trained in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, Valorie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Dermatology Nurses Association, Texas Nurses’ Association and the Houston Area Nurse Practitioner’s Association. Before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Arkansas, Valorie worked as a Registered Nurse in Pulmonology and Neurosurgery before returning to school to become a Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program and received her Master of Science degree in Nursing.
JANET PLATT – MEDICAL AESTHETICIAN
Janet Platt has been a licensed medical aesthetician at West Houston Dermatology since 2000. With her extensive aesthetics knowledge and experience, Janet has become a valuable resource for many of our long time patients, providing them with the highest level of skin care based on their individual needs and skin type. They have relied on Janet to keep them up to date on the latest procedures and treatments available to meet their personal objectives. Janet has extensive experience with a wide variety of cosmetic dermatology treatments and procedures including skin care products, chemical peels, SkinPen, Microdermabrasions, HydraFacials, lasers, CoolSculpting, truSculpt and Ultherapy.
CARRIE BUSCH – MEDICAL AESTHETICIAN
Carrie Busch is a licensed medical aesthetician with 14 years of dermatology experience. Having begun her career as a medical assistant, Carrie quickly realized that she has a special love for the aesthetic side of dermatology. She enjoys combining multiple treatment modalities such as microneedling and resurfacing lasers to help her patients achieve the best version of themselves. She specializes in laser treatments, microneedling, microdermabrasion, body contouring treatments, chemical peels, Hydrafacials, acne facials and therapeutic treatments combined with product knowledge. She is committed to working with patients to achieve their skincare goals.
