Ultherapy: How Long Will My Results Last?

At West Houston Dermatology Laser & Skincare Center, this is a frequently asked question of those who are contemplating skin lifting and tightening with Ultherapy, a non-surgical facelift.  Ultherawas approved by the US FDA in 2009, and has been used in Asia for several years more, so the US data on longevity is somewhat limited.  The participants in the clinical trials preceding Ulthera’s FDA clearance showed that results lasted for at least 1.5 years, and in some cases longer.  Anecdotal data from physicians in the Houston area treating patients with Ultherapy range from two to three years.  It is important to remember that Ultherapy does not stop the aging clock altogether– it merely turns it back.  Therefore, at some point it is possible that Ultherapy patients may want to have a refresher treatment.
